Applications for the town’s annual scholarship program are due by March 3. The scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Belmont who have been accepted to an educational institution beyond the high school level. The Education Scholarship Committee awards several grants on the basis of financial need, academic performance, and participation in extracurricular activities. Interested students must fill out an application, while parents must fill out a questionnaire detailing finances. Applications and questionnaires are available from the guidance departments at Belmont High School and Minuteman Regional High, and the town treasurer’s office. Questions should be directed to Floyd Carman at 617-993-2770 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
