Help with new conservation project

The town’s Board of Selectmen is seeking citizen volunteers for the new Conservation Restriction Working Group. Established at the request of the town’s Community Preservation Committee, the ad hoc group is charged with researching and identifying land trust organizations that are willing to and capable of holding conservation restrictions for the town, working with those land trusts to prepare draft conservation restrictions, and presenting that draft to the selectmen, Conservation Commission and town counsel for final review and approval. Those interested in serving should complete the talent bank form by clicking on the “Get Involved . . . Volunteer” graphic on the town’s website, and submit the completed form to the town manager’s office at Town Hall. For more information, visit www.ashlandmass.com.
