Town begins upgrading water meters


Work began this month on a two-year project featuring a new technology in homes and businesses that will permit the reading of water meters from outside the property. The Water Division of the town’s Department of Public Works is scheduling appointments to install the new technology. After receiving a notice, property owners are asked to call the public works office at 978-772-8240. The installations are mandatory, town officials say.
