Call for volunteers to drive seniors

The Hudson Senior Center is seeking volunteers to drive seniors to medical appointments outside of Hudson and Marlborough, where the center already provides transportation. Janice Long, director of the senior center, said she needs to organize about 30 volunteers before she can start up the new program, and that about 10 people have already expressed interest. “It’s just a nice opportunity to help people get outside the area to medical appointments, because we don’t really have public transportation here,” Long said. Volunteer applications are available at the senior center, and its page on the municipal website, www.townofhudson.org .
