Local film festival to debut Saturday

The town’s Cultural Council will host the inaugural Millis Film Festival on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Millis Public Library. More than 20 short films will be screened, and compete for awards to be decided by judges and audience members. Popcorn and light refreshments will be provided as part of the free event. The festival is intended as an opportunity to appreciate the art of filmmaking and to recognize the accomplishments of the local film community on both sides of the camera. For more information, visit the Cultural Council’s page on the town website, www.millis.org, or the Millis Film Festival’s Facebook page.
