Opt out of mosquito spraying by Saturday

Residents who would like to exclude their property from mosquito-control spraying this season have until Saturday to inform the town clerk through a certified letter. The letter should include the property owner’s name, address, telephone numbers, and the spraying program for which the exclusion is requested. Also, the letter should describe how the property will be marked to alert spraying crews that it should be bypassed; suggestions include marking its boundaries every 50 feet with orange surveyor’s tape. For more information, call the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project at 781-899-5730 or go online to www.wayland.ma.us.
