Session session on high school project

Special Town Meeting will convene at 7:30 p.m. on March 10 to decide three articles related to a proposal to build a new North Middlesex Regional High School, including a request to authorize borrowing $89 million to pay for the project. Residents must be registered to vote in town as of Friday to be eligible to vote at the special session, which will be held in the Nissitissit Middle School auditorium. The Massachusetts School Building Authority has committed to provide a maximum of $40 million toward the project if all three towns in the regional district approve the new high school. Townsend is scheduled to vote March 11, and Ashby on March 15.
