Special session to vote on school-roof repairs

Special Town Meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Ashland High School to vote on proposals for roof repairs at two local schools, the Henry E. Warren Elementary School and Ashland Middle School, and the Joseph P. Keefe Regional Technical School in Framingham. Town officials are seeking to fund the projects through a Proposition 2½ debt-exclusion override, which would boost taxes for a set period to pay for the repairs. If Town Meeting approves the projects, a townwide election will be held on March 18 to decide on the request to raise property taxes. For more information, call the town clerk, town manager, or school district, or visit the town’s website, www.ashlandmass.com
