GlobeWest: Players of the Week, Top 10 boys’ and girls’ hockey teams

    High 5

Matt Dillon , Shrewsbury: The sophomore defenseman picked up eight points as the Colonials outscored Fitchburg and Algonquin Regional by an aggregate 22-3 in two wins. Dillon had a goal and five assists in the first game, then two goals in the second.

Cecily Docktor , Wellesley: It is fair to say that the Raiders will lean heavily on the junior forward during the Division 2 tournament. In two ties to end the regular season — the first time Wellesley went back-to-back games without a win this season — she had a hand in all three goals, assisting against Barnstable (a 1-1 draw) and finding the back of the net twice vs. Falmouth (2-2) at the Cape Cod Classic.

Kelsie Flynn , Shrewsbury: In the last two contests of the regular season, the sophomore forward gave herself a lot to build on heading into next season. She doubled her season goal total by scoring twice in a 4-0 win over Algonquin/Hudson, then netting the team’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Medway/Ashland.

Alec McNamara , Lunenburg/Ayer-Shirley: The one goal he allowed in a 1-1 tie with Grafton/Blackstone Valley Tech was, for the senior captain, average. His 1.21 goals-against average was third best among regulars during the regular season, during which he posted six shutouts. McNamara also put up a .934 save percentage and even assisted on one goal.

Brad White , Milford: The senior captain sent his team into the postseason on a high note, feasting on Blue Hills Regional Tech for a double hat trick in a 10-5 win. His classmate and fellow captain, Jared Balzarini, matched the point total with a goal and five assists. The two finished Milford’s 12-6-2 regular season with a combined 78 points.
