A previously scheduled discussion on the Common Core State Standards Initiative has been moved to Tuesday in the Northborough Free Library, 34 Main St. CCSSI is an educational initiative that seeks to detail what US students should know in the English language arts and mathematics fields by the end of each grade. Two nationally known education specialists — Jamie Grass, director of the Center for School Reform at the Pioneer Institute, and Sandra Stotsky, professor emerita of the University of Arkansas — will be at the event to describe the initiative’s evolution and possible implications if fully implemented by the state. The free event begins at 7 p.m.
