Library hosts talk on Gardner Museum heist

The Groton Public Library is hosting a presentation by an FBI special agent, Geoff Kelly, and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum security director Anthony Amore at 2 p.m. next Sunday. The talk is one of a series of events linked to this year’s Groton Reads book, “The Art Forger,’’ by Barbara Shapiro. The 2012 best-seller is a mystery-thriller set in Boston and sparked by the 1990 art heist at the Gardner Museum, the largest unsolved art theft in history. The speakers will discuss the ongoing investigation and allow time for a question-and-answer period. In addition, Amore will sell and sign copies of his book, “Stealing Rembrandts.”
