School talk focuses on challenging behaviors

On Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Corey Auditorium at Carlisle Public School, the School Advisory Council presents Dr. Nancy Rappaport, a child psychiatrist and coauthor of “The Behavior Code,” to discuss ways that teachers and parents can best support children with challenging behaviors. The free event offers parents, caregivers, and community members the opportunity to hear about Rappaport’s approach. After the presentation, she will be on hand to sell autographed copies of her book. Beginning at 8:45 a.m., there will be free on-site child care provided for toilet-trained children up to fifth grade by the Red Balloon Preschool. Registration for the event is strongly encouraged, and registration for child care is required. The registration form is available at www.carlisleschoolassociation.org. For more information, contact school principal Dennet Sidell at dsidell@carlisle.k12.ma.us.
