Seed-saving workshop at library

Amy LeBlanc, agricultural educator and proprietor of Whitehill Farm in East Wilton, Maine, will present a free workshop on saving vegetable seeds for replanting Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Reuben Hoar Library, 41 Shattuck St. Seed saving is a way to conserve and promote America’s food crop heritage for future generations. LeBlanc will discuss the process of collecting, growing, and sharing heirloom seeds and plants in a backyard garden. The Seed Library Littleton event is cosponsored by Littleton Community Farm, the library, and the Littleton Conservation Trust. The event is free but registration is requested; to sign up, call 978-540-2600 or go to www.littletonlibrary.org.
