Kitchen tour to benefit playground

The inaugural Newton Kitchen Tour, a benefit for the Burr Elementary School Playground Fund, will be held on April 13 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The self-guided tour will include big and small kitchens with modern and traditional designs, and food from local purveyors will be available at each stop for participants to sample. Architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners will be available to answer questions. More information about the tour and tickets are available at www.newtonkitchentour.com. The event’s cochairs, Sharon and Steven Reilly, hope to raise $20,000 to help the Burr PTO replace the school’s aging play structure.
