Here are some baseball-themed programs and events that will be held in conjunction with “The Art of Baseball,” the new exhibit at the Concord Museum.
Drawing Course
through May 28, 1 - 4 p.m.
During this six-week course, artists will compose drawings from “The Art of Baseball” collection. Classes will be divided into four weeks at the museum and two weeks at the Umbrella Community Arts Center. For more information, call the arts center at 978-371-0820, ext. 202.
“The Art of Baseball” Vacation Week Crafts
Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 25, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Cost: Free with museum admission.

Vintage Base Ball Game
May 2, 12 -3 p.m
Cost: Free
The Lowell Base Ball Club and Lynn Live Oaks will play a doubleheader (under 19th-century rules) at Emerson Field on Stow Street in Concord. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Extra Innings
Thursdays: May 7, June 4, July 2, Aug. 6, 5 -8 p.m.
Cost: Free
Little League Baseball and youth softball players, coaches, fans, and families are invited to wear their team uniforms and visit “The Art of Baseball” exhibit at the Concord Museum for free. On June 4 at 6 p.m., meet Matt Tavares, author of “Growing Up Pedro,” a picture book biography of Pedro Martinez.
Mother’s Day Weekend
May 9 at 11 a.m.
Cost: Members $5, non-members $10.
Baseball historian and museum interpreter Jay Hurd will discuss the history of women in baseball in his talk, “Bloomer Girls, Dolly Vardens, Silver Bullets, and Slaterettes: Women in Baseball.” RSVP online or call 978-369-9763, ext. 216. On Mother’s Day (May 10), moms get free admission to the museum.
Sports Memorabilia Appraisal Day
May 30, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
Cost: Members $15 per item, non-members $20 per item (Limit: two items per person).

Base Ball in Boston Before the Red Sox

Father’s Day Beer and Baseball
June 21, 1 - 4 p.m.
Battle Road Brewing Company will host a beer tasting and curator David Wood will discuss “The Art of Baseball” at 2 p.m.
Outdoor Film Screening
June 25, 8 p.m. (movie starts at 8:30 )
Cost: Free
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and watch “A League of Their Own” on the museum lawn.
Baseball Trivia Night
July 15, 7 - 9 p.m.
