The League of Women Voters of Lexington is holding a forum for residents to learn more about sustainability programs and events in town. The program will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at 9:30 a.m. in Cary Memorial Library. It will feature an overview of Sustainable Lexington’s programs that will increase residents’ access to renewable energy and improve the performance of homes, schools, and municipal buildings while reducing energy costs. Attendees will also learn about the Lexington Energy Challenge, Community Choice Aggregation, Net-Zero Emissions Community, and the Sustainable Building Policy. All league forums are free and open to the public. This is the fifth in a series of First Friday Forums hosted by the league chapter to promote awareness and understanding of public policy issues.
