The N2 Innovation District is hosting an event on Thursday, March 2, to educate the Newton and Needham community about makerspaces.
“Makerspaces: Building Communities with Technology and Art” will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Price Center building, 27 Christina Street, Newton.
During the first part, local makers will showcase their work and answer questions. Then a panel of experts will explain how individuals can create a makerspace that unites people, and why the mix of art and technology is a necessary part of innovation.
The N2 district, which overlaps Newton and Needham, consists of nearly 500 acres of commercial, educational, retail, residential, and recreational space. It is home to TripAdvisor’s world headquarters, Karyopharm Therapeutics, and other companies.
Anyone is welcome to join the makerspace event. Registration is free through this Eventbrite page.Rebecca Bicalho can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
