Electric grid focus of Lexington presentation

The League of Women Voters of Lexington and the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts will present “Greening the Grid: Preparing for Our Clean Energy Future,” on Thursday, Oct. 19 in Lexington. Speakers Ariel Horowitz of Synapse Energy Economics, Inc. and Megan Herzog, senior attorney with the Conservation Law Foundation, will explain the transformation required to efficiently operate the electric grid. Topics will include who runs the electric grid, why it’s important as communities look to transition to clean energy, and how it can be modernized to support the transition. The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room, Cary Memorial Library, 1847 Massachusetts Ave.
