The senior swimmer at Wagner College was named the 2017 Bay State Games Athlete of the Year in the 19 and older category. She won three gold medals this year at The Games, just 10 months after suffering a stroke at a collegiate swim practice.
The first-year middle hitter for Bridgewater State’s volleyball squad earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Honor Roll honors after averaging eight kills and two blocks in a 2-1 week. She had only five attacking errors over the three games, posting a .380 hitting percentage.
The senior Bridgewater State football running back rushed for 176 yards with a trio of touchdowns in a 28-9 win over Westfield State Sept. 30. He averaged 7.7 runs per carry on 23 carries, scoring from seven yards twice and five yards once.
