Norfolk Medical Reserve Corps sets Oct. 23 kickoff for volunteers

The Norfolk Medical Reserve Corps will hold a kickoff event for potential volunteers on Monday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. in Norfolk Town Hall’s room 124. The corps is made up of volunteers trained to prepare for and assist in public health emergencies. The corps is seeking medical, public, and mental health professionals, and individuals providing coordination, clerical, security, transportation, and child care services. A series of speakers, including current corps volunteers, will be on hand during the event to answer questions and provide information on emergency preparedness.
