Wayland Library to discuss plans for new building

The Wayland Library Planning Committee will hold a meeting Monday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Wayland Free Public Library to discuss plans for a new library building. The library committee has recommended building a new library because of space constraints at the existing site at 5 Concord Road. Some Wayland residents have presented ideas regarding expanding the current library building, said Tom Fay, the committee chairman. Fay said the committee will discuss these ideas at its next meeting, and take questions and comments. Committee members will outline the reasons why an expansion at 5 Concord Road is not feasible, despite the desire to do so, Fay said. A vote on the new construction is expected at the annual Town Meeting next April.
