Rotary club gives $17,000 for shelter at Framingham park

The Framingham Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Division recently received a $17,000 gift from the Framingham Rotary Club for improvements to Butterworth Park. According to a press release, the donation will be used to help purchase and install a shade shelter that will be located next to the accessible playground. This is not the first time the Rotary Club has supported the park, which is at the intersection of Arthur and Bishop streets. In 2009, the club raised and donated $65,000 for professional design services, playground equipment, and walkway improvements there.
