A Derby Line firefighter was briefly hospitalized for injuries he sustained when part of a roof collapsed on him while fighting a fire that destroyed a vacant home in the northern Vermont community. Firefighter Tanner Jacobs was injured when a back wall and roof collapsed and pinned him inside Tuesday evening. Investigators said the fire was caused by an electrical problem and was not considered to be suspicious. No one was living in the house at the time.
