Recreational marijuana store in Hudson to open Wednesday

    Temescal Wellness

The state’s ninth recreational marijuana store will open in Hudson on Wednesday, more than a month after it received the necessary approval from the state commission to begin operations.

Temescal Wellness of Massachusetts, which began recreational sales in Pittsfield last month, announced Monday they will open this week after working with town officials in Hudson and Berlin to “execute a smooth and hassle-free opening,” the company wrote in a statement.

After receiving a “commence operations” notice from the state’s Cannabis Control Commission in January, Hudson police said the company had “not yet been authorized to open by local officials.”

A spokeswoman for the company said at the time that they were still coordinating their parking plans with local police and would not open until the police chief had approved their plans.
