These striking videos show damage on the Florida coast from Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Michael, which made landfall as a Category 4 storm, crashed ashore on the Florida panhandle coast Wednesday afternoon, battering the region with 155-mile-per-hour winds.

As the terrifying storm made its way across the Florida Panhandle, homes were splintered and neighborhoods were submerged. By Thursday morning, at least two people had been reported dead.

The hurricane, which knocked out power to more than 388,000 homes and businesses, was the most powerful hurricane to hit the continental United States in nearly 50 years.

News organizations and reporters covering the hurricane posted dramatic footage of the damage.
