Charlie Baker has always been something of a dichotomy, a button-downed executive and Harvard grad who also has a penchant for karaoke, air guitar, and “Dancing with the Stars.”

On Sunday night, his rock ‘n roll chops got fresh affirmation.

During a “60 Minutes” piece on local rockers Aerosmith (6:45 into the piece), the screen filled with an image of young concertgoers cheering on the Boston-based band.

Those looking closely may have noticed the central figure was a youthful Baker, standing in the front row at a 1979 show in Providence, R.I.

“Dream On!!” the former gubernatorial candidate and health care company president said in an email to the Globe.
