Much of the money flowing into Massachusetts political campaigns comes from affluent neighborhoods in and around Boston, including some where the candidates live. The charts are based on individual donations to candidates and committees that file reports with the state from 2013 and 2014. It does not include federal campaigns.
Statewide and Boston mayoral candidates are the biggest recipients of individual campaign contributions in Massachusetts since the beginning of 2013. Many legislative candidates have yet to file campaign reports this year.
