Ben Carson will be among those on a committee to help narrow down Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick, according to a report.
Trump told the New York Times on Wednesday that he’d set up a committee to help make the selection for vice president, and said it would include his former GOP rival, Dr. Ben Carson.
“I think on the committee I’ll have Dr. Ben Carson and some other folks,” Trump told the paper.
The discussion of Trump’s vice presidential pick comes a day after his chief rival, Ted Cruz, dropped out of the presidential race following a decisive loss in Indiana.
Trump also told MSNBC Wednesday that he’ll likely go “the political route” in the selection of his running mate.
He said he’s looking for someone who can help get legislation passed.
