ORLANDO -- All eyes are on Florida for hints about who Hillary Clinton might pick for a running mate. But Massachusetts might provide a clue.
Short-list front-runner Tim Kaine has a series of fundraisers scheduled in the Bay State on Friday and Saturday. If the Virginia senator cancels, that’s a strong indication he’s been picked.
That’s because Clinton’s campaign has signaled that they will have an event with their vice presidential pick either Friday in Tampa or Saturday in Miami.
Kaine’s first fundraiser is set for noon Friday at the University of Massachusetts Club in Boston. On Saturday Kaine is scheduled to be on Nantucket at the Chanticleer Garden for a 5:30 pm reception, according to copies of the invitation obtained by the Globe.
Kaine’s staff did not respond to a request for comment Thursday evening. Both Kaine events benefit his Senate campaign.
