Curt Schilling says latest controversial tweet was ‘sarcasm’

Curt Schilling described a T-shirt advocating the harm of journalists as “awesome,” but the former Red Sox pitcher later said that the comment was “100% sarcasm.”

In a now-deleted tweet, Schilling posted a photo of a man wearing a shirt that read: “Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.”

“Ok, so much awesome here,” Schilling tweeted.

Twitter users criticized Schilling.

While Schilling deleted the tweet in question, his responses remained on the social media platform as of Tuesday morning. Some of them are below.
