Here’s a list of Democratic senators calling for Al Franken’s resignation

A host of Democratic senators were calling on their liberal colleague, Al Franken, to step down amid allegations of sexual misconduct.

The demands came as another woman accused Franken of sexual misconduct in an account to Politico.

Franken’s office said on Wednesday that he will make an announcement on Thursday.

Here’s a list of senators who are urging Franken to resign.

• Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.

• Patty Murray, D-Wash.

• Claire McCaskill, D-Mo.

• Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii

• Kamala Harris, D-Calif.

• Maggie Hassan, D-N.H.

• Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis.

• Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich.

• Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.

• Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.

• Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.

Although Warren has yet to publicly call for Franken to step down, an aide to the Massachusetts senator told the Globe that she has told her liberal colleague he should resign.

• Joe Donnelly, D-In.

• Dick Durbin, D-Ill.

• Bob Casey, D-Penn

• Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio

• Ed Markey, D-Mass.

• Michael F. Bennet, D-Co.

• Ron Wyden, D-Ore.

• Jeff Merkley, D-Ore.

• Jack Reed, D-R.I.

• Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I.

• Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

Other political heavyweights also called on Franken to step aside.

• Tom Perez, Democratic National Committee chair

• Angus King, I-Maine

• Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell

• Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett

“Senator Franken would be right to heed the call of his colleagues and step down tomorrow, as is expected. His behavior was inappropriate, demeaning and unacceptable,” Bartlett said in a statement.
