President Trump praised North Korean leader Kim Jong Un again during a wide-ranging "Fox and Friends" interview on Friday morning that turned into an impromptu press conference from the White House.
Trump said that returning a military salute to a North Korean three-star general was being respectful. He said that when Kim speaks ''his people sit up for attention. I want my people to do the same.''
Trump told Fox News anchor Steve Doocy that Kim is "the head of a country, and I mean he's the strong head, don't let anyone think anything different."
He later told reporters that he has solved the issues with North Korea.

"We now have a very good relationship with North Korea," Trump said, arguing that before he entered office the United States' biggest problem was a nuclear-armed North Korea.
"I have solved that problem," Trump said.
Trump also touched on the issue of the remains of US soldiers missing during the Korean War.
Trump said ''they are already starting to produce the remains of these great soldiers.''
Trump challenged criticism of his vague joint statement with Kim. He says he got ''everything'' in the deal.
Trump also spoke extensively about the Justice Department watchdog report on the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton's e-mail private e-mail servers, and said it shows the FBI was biased against him ''at the top level'' and was ''plotting against my election.''
The inspector general report, while damaging to the FBI and to Comey personally, does not support Trump's allegation that political preferences influenced the conduct of the email investigation into his Democratic presidential rival.
Trump told Doocy: ''The end result was wrong. There was total bias.''
