Seth Moulton’s seaside video shoot could mean decision to enter 2020 race is imminent
US Representative Seth Moulton decision to enter the 2020 presidential race as a Democrat may be imminent.
The Globe has obtained a photo appearing to show Moulton taping what could be an announcement video with a film crew in Marblehead, the North Shore town where Moulton grew up.
The photo was first published by Axios Wednesday morning.
In addition to the filming, Moulton will also speak at the Politics & Eggs breakfast in New Hampshire next week, the New Hampshire Institute of Politics announced Wednesday.
Moulton, of Salem, was elected to a third term in Congress last fall. In the last few months, he has given policy speeches and has visited all four early presidential primary states saying he was exploring a presidential run.
When asked about the photo, Moulton spokesman Matt Corridoni simply repeated that Moulton planned to make a decision on whether to run for president by the end of April.
If he runs, Moulton will join two others candidates from Massachusetts already in the race — Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, and former governor Bill Weld, who officially launched his Republican campaign on Monday.
