A truck plowed into a crowd of people who had gathered to watch Bastille Day fireworks in Nice, France, killing at least 77 and injuring at least 50, officials said.
In the aftermath, those who witnessed the event posted photos, videos, and descriptions to social media, depicting a scene that was as chaotic as it was horrifying.
