Amid soaring pension liabilities, Walsh’s union ties are cause for concern

With public employee retirement benefits causing significant financial problems for cities across the country, how can Boston decide that now is the time to put a union activist in charge?

According to the Pew Charitable Trusts, Boston’s unfunded liability for public employee retirement benefits exceeds $1 billion. We do indeed get the government we deserve. Pogo is proved correct again.
