Va. governor’s race is a sign that Tea Party’s clout wanes

All eyes in the nation should be focused on the gubernatorial race outcome in Virginia. The victory of Democrat Terry McAuliffe indicates that the tide is changing and the Tea Party is on its way to being marginalized.

In a swing state, the Tea Party has become exposed; it is not what it pretended to be when many of its candidates swept into offices around the nation.

I believe many Americans can see the extremism in the Tea Party that places it out of synch with the maturity of a nation that once led the world.
