Re “Finally, US gets serious about combating climate change”: Excellent editorial — with one exception. You write, “Almost all credible reports suggest the world is passing the point where it can reverse, or eliminate, global warming.” Is it really necessary at this point to write “almost all credible reports”?

Can’t we finally just say it like it is, and note that all credible reports suggest this? As far as I’m concerned, the use of caveats on this issue just gives those stubborn deniers a little tiny word to hang their argument on.

I would be very interested to see the Globe publish the credible report that is the exception on this issue. I am not aware of its existence.
