Letters | a new line drawn in abortion debate

Harassment is more than abortion patients should have to withstand

The Supreme Court made an ill-advised decision when it struck down a Massachusetts law that required protesters to stay at least 35 feet away from an abortion clinic’s entrance and walkways.

An abortion is an emotionally painful and physically difficult medical procedure, so patients don’t deserve to be harassed, intimidated, taunted, threatened, or abused.

How would cancer patients feel if they were mistreated in the same way?
