Katie Forde has poured energy and passion into the Suffolk Registry of Deeds race.

Forde almost won the Democratic primary in 2016, finishing second in a divided field against Steve Murphy. Now she’s his sole opponent, barnstorming candidate forums where Murphy’s nowhere to be seen.

The Globe endorses Forde in the Sept. 4 Democratic primary. If the way she’s campaigned is a sign of how she’d run the registry, the county would be lucky to have her.
