I WAS surprised to read that some citizens of Boston found something to dislike about the new LED streetlights (“Bright words, glaring worries over city’s new streetlights,” Page A1, July 4). My experience has been positive. Living in a third-floor condo in a house close to the street, as many houses are in Boston, my front bedroom was so washed in light under the old streetlights that I could read without turning on my own light.
Now, with the LED light in place, no excess light is directed at my windows, and I have traded in my dense, light-blocking curtains.
