Time to stop this madness and put guns out of reach

Is it time now? Can we stop talking about our “right” to carry guns? Just imagine those 20 children in Newtown, Conn., dreaming of Christmas, Santa, presents, joy. Is it really so important that those outside of law enforcement own guns?

Until we live in a world that provides adequate mental health services for all, we need to severely restrict access to firearms. Guns have done enough damage. Let us get together and stop this madness.

May the victims in Newtown rest in peace. May their legacy be the creation of a more peaceful world.
