A model of effective writing

I FOUND myself greatly affected by Joan Wickersham’s effectively written piece on the effect of proper grammar (“Navigating the grammatical thicket”, Op-ed, Feb. 22). As a graduate school faculty instructor, I often read with sad affect the less-than-effective use of grammar by my graduate students. I hope Wickersham’s article can effect some positive change.
