Letters | The Sequestration Follies

A budget office in Washington? To do what exactly?

The president has nominated Sylvia Mathews Burwell to be the new budget chief (“Obama nominates Walmart Foundation head as budget chief,” Page A8, March 5). Considering that we are in sequester mode and that the president has failed to develop a budget, I wonder why we are continuing to pay for the Office of Management and Budget at all.

Let’s give all the budget folks a furlough, since they have nothing to do anyway, and the government needs the money.
