Mayor Menino’s thin skin won’t be missed

LAWRENCE HARMON hit the nail on the head (“Menino’s boneyard,” Op-ed, April 6). Has Mayor Tom Menino done some good things for Boston? Sure. But let’s not get carried away with praise. His thin skin has been an embarrassment to the city. Famously insecure in his position of power, Menino has never been able to handle disagreement. With Menino it’s us vs. them, my way or the highway.

It’s time for a breath of fresh air. Hopefully Menino’s successor will have the dignity and maturity to handle opposing views.
