Letters | THE REAL LEVEL OF DEMAND FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS

Parents seek many options. So what?

We need more options in Boston. Now that Boston has reached its limit, there is little chance my child will get in. That leaves me with three options: move, pay for private school, or stay in a local district school.

People who oppose charter schools — especially those from the suburbs — should spend a day in my shoes. Then maybe they’ll understand how desperately parents want to see more charters open in Boston.
