Think of those who are ‘sheltered in place’ every day

As we mourn the terrible losses from April 15 and celebrate the many acts of heroism and generosity, let us remember that there are communities in Boston where children are “sheltered in place” every day; their parents will not let them go outside to play for fear of losing them to violence.

This absence of safety is often ignored by the media and those untouched by this daily terror.
