Cyclists should help light way to safety

RE “WITH crash data, city tries to make bicycling safer” (Page A1, May 15): So, “Didn’t see each other” was the cause of 18 percent of recorded accidents involving bike collisions? Many of those were drivers who didn’t see the bicycles. As a motorist, I can get a ticket if one of my headlights is out. How about asking cyclists to take some responsibility for making sure that they are as visible as possible? They should outfit themselves with bike lights.
