We’ve bred violence with our invasion of Iraq

The Boston Marathon bombings forced us to feel the shock, terror, and sadness from violent acts. We have now experienced what the people of other countries endure more frequently and on an even larger scale.

In remembering the nightmarish terror of the Boston bombings, I hope we can all know what the people of Iraq are dealing with when bombs killed 69 people Aug. 11, or 58 people July 30, or 38 people July 15. This wave of bloodshed has cost 3,000 lives since April.
