New York precedent for South Station renaming

ARGUING AGAINST naming South Station for Michael Dukakis (“Rail station’s name a link to history,” Letters, Feb. 8), Richard S. Prone asks, “Would New York City re-name Grand Central Terminal after Jacqueline Onassis, who saved that beautiful building from the wrecking ball?”

Since New York is, on similar grounds, planning to name a new Penn Station for the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, I wouldn’t bet against it.
