RE “OLYMPIC bid draws fire over funding omissions” (Page A1, May 29): Given the so-called honesty and transparency that has been demonstrated, the answer to the question of whether we should have the Olympics in Boston — i.e., Massachusetts — should be a resounding and loud NO. This venture has all the makings of a long-term financial disaster for taxpayers. Didn’t we learn anything from the Big Dig?
